Gilda Frumkin was born in 1957 in Instabul. She is a self-taught artist who started painting at a very young age, demonstrating a special inclination, sensibility and skillfulness in the use of colors and figures through various media.

Since then, Gilda’s distinctive characteristic has been her sharp observation and the constant innate desire to paint. She focuses on the details, which she enlarges or isolates, enhancing them with notes of elegy, which convey to the viewer a mood of attentiveness as well as of contemplation.
